Man stabbed in White Center Thursday morning

King County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who stabbed another man in the back after they were refused entry to a White Center bar early Thursday morning.

The two men were standing in the 9600 block of 16th Avenue Southwest around 1:22 a.m. when the stabbing occurred, said Sheriff’s spokeswoman D.B. Gates. The two men knew each other, Gates added.

When deputies arrived the victim was “walking and talking” but unwilling to help investigators, Gates said. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The two men were believed to have been drinking, the sheriff’s office said.

“Nobody knows why the suspect stabbed the victim,” Gates said.

The suspect is described as being 5-feet 10-inches, about 160 pounds and having “a mullet hairstyle,” Gates said.
