A missing developmentally-disabled Snohomish girl was found by Lynnwood police Thursday morning in the company of a 60-year-old man.
Police say 14-year-old Elizabeth Harwood appeared to be uninjured, but was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. The man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s office.
Harwood left her home in Snohomish Wednesday about noon to ride her bike to a friend’s house. She never arrived. Snohomish police searched the area, but could not find Harwood. Snohomish County Search and Rescue was called to assist.
Lynnwood Police officers located Harwood this morning at the 19800 block of 44th Ave W.
The incident will be investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit.
The relationship between the man and Harwood is unknown at this time.
