C’mon get “Happy”: Pharrell and Soundgarden will perform as part of the pre-game show before the Seahawks‘ regular season opener on Sept. 4, the NFL announced  Sunday. Ariana Grande will sing the national anthem.

More ferry woes: Passengers on the Elwha on their way to Anacortes Sunday evening were ordered to don life jackets when one of the boat’s drive motors malfunctioned. Two runs from Anacortes to the San Juan Islands have been canceled this morning, Check the state ferry schedule for bulletins if you’re headed that way.

Misplaced affection: Someone has marred a sacred tribal rock in Jefferson County with a giant pink “I (heart) Miranda.” Tamanowas Rock has been used for millennia by Salish Native Americans for hunting, refuge and spiritual renewal rituals. Hey, we love Miranda too, but don’t need to see it in 3-foot letters.

Welcome to California: OK, not really, but highs are expected to be in the upper 80s again today with sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service forecast. The warm temps should continue through Tuesday, but cool off to the 70s by the end of the week.
