Paraglider stuck in Issaquah tree 80 feet off ground

A paraglider crashed into a tree on Tiger Mountain Trail in Issaquah on Thursday night and got stuck about 80 feet off the ground.

Firefighters responded to the call around 6:30 p.m., but could not get the man down, said Craig Hooper, Eastside Fire and Rescue battalion chief. Specialists were called in to help.

Hooper said he spoke to the paraglider around 8:20 p.m., and the man seemed to be fine. “He said he’s, quote unquote, ‘still hanging in there’,” Hooper said.
