Pedestrian struck, killed while crossing Everett street

A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing a street in Everett this morning.

The 67-year-old Kirkland man was in a crosswalk heading north on Wetmore Avenue at Everett Avenue just before 11 a.m. when he was struck by a pickup, Everett police said. The man was taken to Providence Medical Center Everett – Colby Campus, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup, a 57 year-old Everett man, remained at the scene, police said.
