Seattle man found guilty in fatal Oregon crash

ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) — A Seattle man has been found guilty of second-degree manslaughter after driving a car that crossed a center line and crashed head-on against another vehicle, killing two Seaside residents.

The Daily Astorian reports that 40-year-old Sterling Maxwell Frinell was driving under the influence of methamphetamine, opiates and oxycodone when he crashed his Subaru into the Volkswagen Beetle that 52-year-old Mark Agalzoff and 20-year-old Tryg Walker McCord were in.

Frinell was also found guilty of third-degree assault, unlawful possession of heroin, driving under the influence of intoxicants and recklessly endangering another person.

Prosecutors also say Frinell had a suspended driver’s license at the time of the crash. His girlfriend, 33-year-old Margaret E. Goldman, was also injured in the crash.
