Seattle police arrest man suspected of hitting woman, baby in stroller
Seattle police have arrested a suspected drug dealer who allegedly struck a woman and a baby in a stroller last night while escaping from officers.
According to police, the man was fleeing from police around 9:20 p.m. Thursday when he ran a red light and clipped a parked car near Sixth Avenue and Denny Way. His car then went on the sidewalk where it sideswiped the woman and the baby she was pushing in a stroller, police said.
The man got out of the car and ran off.
The mother and baby were taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries, police say.
The man was arrested around 11:30 p.m. and booked into jail on narcotics-related charges and a warrant, police said.
