UPDATE, 5 p.m. | Witnesses told police that the man who was stabbed in the chest at a homeless encampment had argued with another man around 4:30 a.m., the Seattle Police Department said Wednesday afternoon.
Both men then left the area in the Chinatown International District neighborhood, but one man returned a few minutes later covered in blood. Police were contacted about four hours later.
The man remains at Harborview Medical Center.
ORIGINAL POST | Seattle police are investigating a stabbing in the Chinatown International District neighborhood Wednesday morning.
Details are scarce, but police are reporting that a man was stabbed at South Jackson Street and Maynard Avenue South. Medics were dispatched to the incident at 7:50 a.m.
The man was conscious when he was taken to Harborview Medical Center, police said.
