Seattle’s Matthews Beach safe to swim, reopens Saturday

Matthews Beach will reopen 11 a.m. Saturday, says Public Health – Seattle & King County. Water samples collected this week revealed bacteria counts low enough to make swimming safe.

Matthews Beach is open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

For more information about beaches’ current bacteria, algal toxin and temperature, visit King County Swimming Beach Monitoring.
