Spokane shooting victim’s family warns of donation scam

The Associated Press

SPOKANE — The family of a woman shot and killed by her husband at a Spokane medical complex is warning the public about a possible donation scam.

Sheena Henderson’s family says someone is collecting money in her name, but the money isn’t making it to them.

KREM reports that according to a family friend a woman claiming to be Henderson’s sister is asking for money. Henderson did not have a sister.

On July 8, Christopher Henderson went to the Deaconess Medical Center complex where his wife worked and killed her, and then killed himself.

Henderson’s family is asking people to only donate to an account set up at Wells Fargo to help her children.
