About the man shot dead by police on Queen Anne last night: We hope to have more on this incident this morning.
As we said yesterday, summer appears to have flown the coop. Could be a damp Bumbershoot today, but that isn’t keeping folks away from the festival. National Weather Service forecast

Here’s the kind of rave we like to read in our Rant & Rave feature: “To the young couple who helped this senior couple on Highway 2 when we were pulled over with a flat tire. There was no cellphone service in the narrow canyon and these wonderful people drove to Leavenworth to call AAA, then drove back to tell us that help was on the way before continuing their journey east, helping us out of a really tough situation.”
