BELLEVUE (AP) — A water-main break in Bellevue’s Eastgate neighborhood was followed Wednesday by a break in a natural-gas line at the same location.
City utilities spokeswoman Wendy Hairfield says a crew from Puget Sound Energy shut off the gas so water crews could fix the 6-inch line. Twenty-two homes were without water, with service expected to be restored late Wednesday afternoon.
Seven homes were evacuated, but there was no property damage or injuries.
Puget Sound Energy says eight homes were without natural gas while repairs were made to its 6-inch main.
