Woman robbed at gunpoint while waiting for bus in Rainier View

A 64-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon while waiting for a bus at a Rainier View bus stop, police said.

The victim was waiting for a Metro bus around 5 p.m. in the 11800 block of Beacon Avenue South when a man came up behind her and shoved a small, silver handgun into her side, according to Seattle police.

He ordered her to the ground, took $200 out of her purse and ran off, police said.
