2 critically injured after school bus, car collide in Everett

Two people have life-threatening injuries after a collision involving a car and school bus that both struck a pole on Highway 99 in Everett on Monday afternoon.

The two occupants of the passenger car are being taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with critical injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol. The bus driver was taken to Swedish Hospital.

All lanes of southbound Highway 99 south of Airport Road are blocked, according to the state Department of Transportation. Traffic is being diverted at Russell Way.
