NORTH BEND — A King County sheriff’s spokeswoman says the body of a climber who fell while climbing Mount Garfield near North Bend, Washington, has been located.
KOMO-TV reportsthat Sgt. DB Gates says the man in his 30s apparently fell while climbing the Infinite Bliss route with a female partner. Gates says the woman wasn’t hurt and walked out Monday to report the accident.
The spokeswoman says search crews located the body Wednesday and began recovery efforts.
Gates did not release the victim’s name but said he was an experienced climber from North Bend.
