High-speed chase on I-5 ends near Lynnwood with 1 arrest

Update at 11:01 a.m.: Washington State Patrol confirmed the chase started on I-5 near the Snohomish-Skagit county line. The driver, a woman from Olympia, was pulled over for speeding and then took off.

The pursuit reached speeds of up to 110 mph, the State Patrol says. Troopers used three sets of spike strips before successfully disabling the woman’s car.

Update at 10:55 a.m.: The chase has ended near 164th Street Southwest near Lynnwood, One person in custody.

Update at 10:53 a.m.: According to scanner traffic, sounds like at least two tires on the car have been flattened with a spike strip.

Original post: The Washington State Patrol is involved in a chase on southbound Interstate 5 heading toward Seattle.

The chase, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph, reportedly started near the Skagit-Snohomish county line.
