Company recalls tomatoes sold at Lynnwood Costco

A California company issued a voluntary recall of its tomatoes Saturday night, saying that batches of the tomatoes sold at the Costco in Lynnwood might be contaminated with salmonella.

The recall affects Expo Fresh Roma tomatoes, packed on Sept. 5 or Sept. 6. The tomatoes were shipped to several Costco locations, including Lynnwood and Tacoma.

The company told the Associated Press that the salmonella was found in routine testing, and that no illnesses have been reported.
