A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he fired a gunshot into the air in Belltown, according to Seattle police.
A witness told police he looked out his window in the 200 block of Bell Street just before 1:30 a.m. and saw a man pull out a gun as he approached another man in an alley and fire one shot in the air. The suspect then put the gun in his pants and walked away, police said.
Police tracked the suspect down near Fourth Avenue and Wall Street. They found a small 9 mm semi-automatic pistol in his pants and discovered he was a felon and barred from having a firearm.
The man was booked into King County Jail for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm as well as discharging a firearm in the city.
