A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in a gunfight early Saturday in Seattle’s Denny Triangle.
Police rushed to the scene after hearing gunshots in the 1900 block of Minor Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Officers discovered the man with the fatal wounds; he was also armed, police say.
According to police, the suspect is still at large and there is no description at this time.
Police said a vehicle was seen leaving the scene. Officers stopped the vehicle after a short pursuit. The occupant is being questioned as a possible witness.
Police are also investigating an assault by a group of people in a nearby parking lot that sent one person to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. It is not clear whether the two incidents are related, police said.
