Man in wheelchair struck by car in Belltown

A man in a wheelchair was injured Tuesday night when he was hit by a car at a Belltown  intersection, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

The man, who is in his 40s, was struck by an SUV at First Avenue and Cedar Street shortly before 8 p.m., spokesman Kyle Moore said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

The Seattle Police Department is investigating the incident, Moore said.
