Seattle police say a group of armed, masked men pistol-whipped a man during a Beacon Hill home-invasion robbery early Tuesday morning.
The victims told police that around 2:45 a.m. they heard a loud bang at the front door of their home in the 4700 block of 30th Avenue South. When they went to investigate they encountered a man pointing a laser-sighted gun at them, according to police.
The victims said that as many as six men, wearing masks and dark clothing, forced the family, including two children, into a bedroom while they ransacked the home, stealing jewelry.
The 50-year-old homeowner suffered a cut to the back of his head after being pistol-whipped, police said.
Police did not release a detailed description of the suspects.
