Man shot in leg during West Seattle fight

A man was shot in the leg during a fight involving up to 20 people in West Seattle’s High Point neighborhood on Friday afternoon, police said.

Officers began receiving reports of a fight in the 3000 block of High Point Way Southwest around 3:30 p.m., according to the Seattle Police Department.

When officers arrived at the scene they located an 18-year-old man who had been shot in the leg. Witnesses pointed officers toward a group of people who had made their way through the cemetery near the scene of the fight and then disappeared.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect remains at large.
