Monday Memo: Mars Hill overview … Hawk shock … Another gorgeous day

Some local companies are caught in a fight over whether to kill the Export-Import Bank, a federal agency whose survival is up for congressional debate. One interesting tidbit from this story is that there’s a Seattle company that makes high-tech manikins that are used in testing, and some of them can cost up to $500,000.

Mars Hill Church: If you haven’t read the story that takes a close look at the church and its controversial founder-leader, please do. It’s an eye-opener.

How ’bout those Seahawks? They got a dose of reality in San Diego yesterday, didn’t they? That said, the Chargers played some pretty good football.

It’s going to be another warm day today. The temperature is expected to reach into the upper 80s and even hit 90 in some places. Hey, it’s mid-September! Gotta love this sunny weather. Could be a bit cooler in days to come, though. National Weather Service forecast
