Motorcyclist injured after collision with Jeep in Tukwila

UPDATE, Friday, 7:50 a.m. |  The collision Thursday night only involved the motorcycle and no other vehicles, according to a tweet from Trooper Chris Webb of the Washington State Patrol.

ORIGINAL POST | A motorcyclist has life-threatening injuries after a collision with a Jeep on Highway 99 in Tukwila on Thursday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash occurred at the Highway 99 interchange with Highway 599 around 8:30 p.m. The motorcyclist was taken to Harborview Medical Center, Trooper Chris Webb said.  The driver of the Jeep wasn’t injured.

The northbound and southbound on-ramps to southbound Highway 599 are closed, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. Traffic is being diverted to South 116th Street.
