Police: Man stabbed in group fight in downtown Seattle early Tuesday

A man was found stabbed downtown early Tuesday morning, according to a blog post from the Seattle Police Department.

After being called to investigate a fight at Pine Street and Fourth Avenue a little after 1:30 a.m., officers found a man stabbed on the sidewalk and a car parked in the middle of Pine Street, police said.

Witnesses say that a group of people jumped out of the vehicle and started a fight with a group on the sidewalk, according to the SPD post.  Witnesses say at some point a person pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.

Medics performed CPR on the victim at the scene before rushing him to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, the report said.

Detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene.

Police request that anyone with information in this case to please call the Homicide Tip Line at (206)233-5000.
