Seattle police and fire personnel rescued a “possible intoxicated person” up an embankment at Discovery Park early Sunday night.
The rescue effort began around 5:55 p.m., when reports came in of two people stuck about 60 yards down from the top of the cliff. Rescuers reached the pair at about 6:35 p.m. One person was able to walk out on their own. The other, an “unruly” man,” was chemically sedated before rescuers could begin lifting him out.
Rescuers called for additional police to perform crowd control. The fire department, in a tweet, said there were no injuries involved in the call.
