Have you herd? The goats are back in town.

An expected 110 goats will feast on wild growth under the Alaskan Way Viaduct between Lenora and Blanchard streets in downtown Seattle for a week, the Seattle Department of Transportation said Tuesday. Once the hillside is cleared, the goat-workers will clear the area under the Jose Rizal Bridge on the north side of Dearborn Street at 12th Avenue South.

The transportation department uses the hoofed animals from Vashon Island’s Rent-a-Ruminant each year to assist in clearing steep hillsides that are difficult for “us two-footed creatures” to reach, the transportation department said.
