Sunday Memo: Seahawks Sunday … Domestic violence: We’re worse than NFL … Corgi shot dead remembered

The Seahawks‘ game against the Denver Broncos this afternoon may appear to be a rematch of their Super Bowl meeting of last season, but not really … See was sport’s writer Bob Condotta has to say about it.

And speaking of the NFL, the reported domestic violence incidents involving some of its players are the ones that make the news. But columnist Danny Westneat reminds us how pervasive the problem is society.

Potheads rejoice? Seattle City Pete Holmes is seeking the dismissal of all pot use tickets.

Some 5,000 people outraged by the Bellingham shooting death of a corgi by a neighbor who mistakenly thought the dog was the source of barking have shown their support for the dog on Facebook. And the corgi’s owners have begun a letter-writing campaign, calling for Whatcom County prosecutors to seek the harshest penalty against 55-year-old shooter.
