Thursday Memo: From here to California … Spreading HIV … Tattoos poll

Headed for California? Census Bureau stats show that when people move out of King County, four of the top five counties they land in are in California. Rounding out the top five is Maricopa County (Phoenix). Los Angeles tops the list, with 2,900 King County residents moving there each year. But then, some 3,400 folks from L.A. move up here every year. Get all the numbers in this FYI Guy post.

What can we say about this story … Public health officials have gone to court to get a man with HIV to get help because he has infected eight people in the past four years. Health officials got a cease-and-desist order for the man to attend counseling and get treatment. He hasn’t always been cooperative in the past …

Chilly overnight, was it? It should warm up today with the temperature reaching the mid-70s.   National Weather Service forecast

Starbucks, baristas and tattoos: The coffee giant is thinking of relaxing its rules about barista tattoos being visible on the job. What do you think? You can weigh in on the issue by participating in this poll.
