Planning to attend the Seahawks game Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers? You might want to heed a word of warning from Seattle police:
“Refrain from harassing, threatening, or intimidating fans. That fan in the Green Bay Packers jersey might just be an undercover officer or security official.”
The warning was included in a list of recommendations issued by police Tuesday for those planning to attend the game and/or the Soundgarden and Pharrell kickoff concert at CenturyLink Field. The recommendations mainly focus on traffic-related issues.
But the spectre of undercover cops in Packers gear should at least give the 12th Man some food for thought. As the team warned last year, stadium security will target those who exhibit “unruly and inconsiderate behavior.”
Last year, undercover Seattle police dressed in jerseys of opposing teams to curb fan rowdiness.
