A woman was dragged a short distance by a man who grabbed her purse and drove off with it Sunday night in North Seattle, police said.
The 43-year-old victim was walking near North 135th and Aurora Avenue North shortly before 10 p.m. when a man pulled up alongside her in a gold Honda sedan, according to police. The man got out of the Honda, grabbed the woman’s purse and climbed back in the car, police said.
The victim refused to let go of the purse and was dragged a short distance before she let go, police said. The man took off with the purse, which contained the victim’s wallet and cell phone.
The victim suffered a skinned knee and may have fractured her hand, police said. She was taken to Northwest Hospital for treatment.
