1 dead, 1 injured in Port Angeles shooting

PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles police official says a 911 call led officers to a home where they found a homicide victim, a wounded suspect and an unhurt woman who may have been an abduction victim.

Deputy Chief Brian Smith says police arrived at the home shortly after 7 p.m. after getting a frantic call from a woman.

KOMO-TV reports that police found the body of a man who had been shot and a second man suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the hand. Smith says they also found a woman who they believe had been kidnapped. She was not hurt.

Smith says the injured man will be arrested for investigation of murder when he’s released from a hospital. It wasn’t immediately clear who was involved in the kidnapping.

City police and Washington State Patrol detectives are investigating.
