Three teens arrested in a stolen car in Los Angeles on Tuesday night may be connected to a recent carjacking on Capitol Hill, Seattle police say.
Los Angeles police contacted the SPD’s robbery unit Wednesday morning to alert them to the arrest of the three teens in southeast Los Angeles. The teens were in a Ford Fusion that was stolen in the carjacking, according to Seattle police.
Seattle detectives are now trying to determine whether the teens were responsible for the Sept. 25 carjacking on Capitol Hill. In that incident, a group of teens pistol-whipped a man at 10th Avenue and Seneca Street before fleeing in his car.
Detectives are also investigating whether the teens are connected to other recent robberies in the Capitol Hill area.
