Johnny Burg of the National Weather Service said a wet weather system is expected to move into Western Washington on Monday, with a wetter one behind it on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Burg said forecasters aren’t sure how much rain to expect but said it’s possible the Tuesday rain could pose a flooding risk along some of the area’s most flood-prone rivers.
Rain is expected to continue though the week.
Through Saturday, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has had 1.94 inches of rain so far this month, compared to a normal total of 1.61 inches for the period. October’s normal for the entire month is 3.48 inches.
The chance of rain in Seattle for the next few days: 90 percent on Monday, 60 percent on Tuesday and 90 percent on Wednesday.
