Amber Alert issued for missing Vancouver, Wash., 9-year-old

An Amber Alert has been issued for Andrey Voronenko, 9.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 9-year-old Vancouver, Wash., boy who officials believe was taken by his father.

Andrey Voronenko was picked up by his father, Alexey Voronenko, 38, at his elementary school in Vancouver Tuesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

His father was previously incarcerated for domestic violence in Texas, and the family fled to Washington while the man was in jail.

Voronenko has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and officials believe his son may be harmed.

Andrey is Ukrainian, 4-foot-10, with brown hair and green eyes. He is 74 pounds and last seen wearing a navy polo shirt with pink stripes, gray pants, blue and gray tennis shoes and a dark navy rain coat.

Alexey Voronenko is a Russian man with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6-foot-2 and 300 pounds. He is described as having a large frame, graying hair and a mustache.

The two may be in a gray, four-door Honda Accord with tinted windows and a moon roof. The Texas license plate is CCK3638.

Anyone with information should call 911 or the Clark County Sheriff’s Office at 360-397-2211.
