An actress known for her roles in “August: Osage County,” “Frozen River” and “Django Unchained” is missing, Auburn police said.
Misty Upham, 32, hasn’t been heard from since Sunday, after she was at her parents’ apartment in South Auburn, according to the Auburn Police Department. Police received a call with a report of a suicidal person at her parents’ apartment, but when officers responded they were told the suicidal person had already left. Her father filed a missing-persons report for Upham the next day, police said.
Upham is not considered endangered, Cmdr. Steve Stocker said. In order for a missing person to be endangered, the disappearance must be considered unexplained, involuntary or suspicious.
“Her family is certainly concerned about her, and we are, too, but it’s not suspicious,” Stocker said.
The Blackfeet actress was nominated for a 2014 Screen Actors Guild award with the cast of “August: Osage County,” where she played Johnna Monevata, a Native American housekeeper. She was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for best supporting actress in 2009 for her role as Lila Littlewolf in “Frozen River.” She was born in Kalispell, Mont., and grew up in South Seattle, according to her IMDb Web page.
