Fight leads to fatal stabbing near Lynnwood

UPDATE, 3:10 p.m. | Encarnacion “EJ” Salas has been arrested.

|ORIGINAL POST | Detectives are searching for a 23-year-old man suspected in the stabbing death of another man Friday night near Lynnwood.

Encarnacion “EJ” Salas is believed to have assaulted the 42-year-old victim about 11:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of 164th Street Southwest, who died at the scene, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said.  Salas is 5’11”, 185 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.  He could have injuries to his face and legs and was last seen wearing green pants and a red bandana. It is believed he is in the area of 164 Street Southwest and 35th Avenue West, the sheriff’s office said.

Anyone who has information is asked to call 911 immediately.

The victim was stabbed multiple times, before the attacker fled to  a nearby apartment.

The men apparently knew each other.
