Man robbed of cash, phone in Kirkland

Kirkland police are investigating an early-morning robbery in which a man was forced out of a vehicle and left in the 8200 block of Northeast 145th Street.

The man had apparently asked his girlfriend to pick him up, and she arrived in a car with two other men, said Kirkland Police Lt. Mike Murray.

Around 2 a.m., one of the other men threatened the woman’s boyfriend with a gun and reportedly held a knife to his throat as well, Murray said.

The victim reported that $800 and his cell phone were taken.

He walked to a nearby house, where the occupants called police.

A Washington State Patrol trooper spotted the suspect vehicle about 20 minutes later.

Bellevue police and King County sheriff’s deputies pulled the car over in Factoria and arrested the suspects, Murray said.
