An object made to look like a pipe bomb was found outside Gold Bar Elementary School after classes Wednesday afternoon, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 3:30 p.m., someone called 911 to report that he had found a pipe bomb in the grass outside of the school, the Sheriff’s Office said. The man then moved the object to his car to protect children in the area.
Deputies later determined the device was not a real pipe bomb.
No suspects have been identified, the Sheriff’s Office said.
