Original post: Police say a group of women helped chase down an intoxicated man after he groped them in downtown Seattle Wednesday afternoon.
A man began groping women on the street as he walked south from Second Avenue and James Street around 12:45 p.m., according to the Seattle Police Department. Several of the women he groped along with witnesses followed the suspect and called 911 with information on the man’s location as he walked toward Pioneer Square and continued to grab women.
Officers caught up to the man near Occidental Avenue and South King Street, where the man flopped onto the ground. Medics saidhe was very intoxicated, but did not appear to have any other medical issues, according to the police department.
At least three women identified the man, who was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of indecent liberties.
Another man, a Level 3 sex offender, was charged last week with one count of assault with sexual motivation in connection with an incident earlier this month. Daryl R. Sharma is accused of groping a woman near Westlake Park on Oct. 12.
