Woman found dead at Spanaway home; 4 children OK

Update at 8:40 p.m.: The News Tribune reports that Troyer says investigators have spoken with the estranged husband, and he is not a suspect in the death at this time.

Pierce County deputies are looking for the estranged husband of a woman who was found dead Tuesday at a home in Spanaway.

Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer tells The News Tribune he’s not a suspect but someone they want to question because she had a restraining order against him.

Four children — ages 1, 3, 4 and 7 — were in the home where the woman was killed. The children are OK.

A neighbor asked deputies to check on the home. They saw the children looking out the window.

The children refused to open the door, so deputies forced their way inside where they found the body of the 29-year-old woman.
