Bellevue teacher accused of having sex with student, 17

A Bellevue high-school teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student was arrested last week, police said Friday.

The 33-year-old teacher was arrested Nov. 7 after the Bellevue Police Department received a complaint the day before alleging that he’d engaged in a sexual relationship with a female student, the department said. He was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor and communication with a minor for immoral purposes.

The suspect is a teacher in the Bellevue School District, but the name of the high school where he teaches was not released “because of the sensitive nature of this case, as well as the fact that this remains an open and active investigation,” the Police Department said.
