UPDATE, 6:41 p.m. | Auburn police say relatives of an 83-year-old woman set up a hidden camera and caught images of her being sexually abused in an adult family home.
Police Cmdr. Mark Caillier says the 67-year-old caregiver was arrested on Thursday night. He was booked into jail on investigation of second-degree rape.
KOMO says he is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.
KIRO reports that the woman suffers from dementia or a similar problem. Caillier says the woman and 11 other residents were moved out of two adjacent facilities Thursday night.
ORIGINAL POST | Police say 11 elderly residents of an adult family home in Auburn were removed Thursday night after a caregiver was accused of sexual abuse and arrested.
Police responded after a family reported a caregiver had sexually abused a relative. The man was jailed for investigation of sexual assault.
The 11 residents were taken by ambulance to hospitals until other arrangements could be made for their care.
