Who was that masked man?
The FBI and Seattle Safe Streets Task Force would like to know.
The bank robber dubbed “The Man in the Rubber Mask” is believed to have robbed at least four different banks in Seattle since Oct. 16, most recently Friday near Green Lake.
During the robberies the man has worn a different rubber mask along with gloves, baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt or jacket, and jeans, according to the FBI. The robber is armed with a handgun.
He in his late 50s, roughly 5-feet-5, the FBI says.
“Rubber Mask” is believed to be responsible for the following bank robberies:
Oct. 16 — Chase Bank on 35th Avenue Northeast.
Oct. 30 — Key Bank on 35th Avenue Northeast.
Nov. 4 — HomeStreet Bank on 15th Avenue Northwest.
Nov. 14 — Key Bank on Northeast Ravenna Boulevard.
Anyone with information on the robber is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
