Update at 12:21 p.m.: According to UW police, detectives on Monday afternoon determined the type of the wireless device being used by the 32-year-old man when he allegedly made the threats. Police also learned his location, they say.
On Monday evening, with the help of UW-IT, detectives determined the suspect was using the device while on campus in the Social Work/ Speech and Hearing Sciences Building.
Detectives responded and found the suspect after a brief search.

University of Washington police say detectives arrested a man Monday night suspected of making online threats to students over the weekend.
Police say he was found in the Social Work building but is not a student or staff member.
Police had sent out a campus alert a few hours earlier asking people to report anyone suspicious on the campus in Seattle.
