Seattle police on Thursday released additional information on the arrest of an off-duty Everett firefighter during a prostitution sting.
A detective with the department’s Vice/High-Risk Victims Unit had exchanged messages with the 60-year-old firefighter during an online sting targeting men looking for sex with underage girls, according to police.
Police say the suspect showed up for a meeting with someone he believed was an underage prostitute in West Seattle on Wednesday and was arrested.
Police say the suspect had a supply of condoms, sex toys and personal lubricants.
He was booked him into the King County Jail for investigation of commercial exploitation of a child and communicating with a minor For immoral purposes.
Meghan Pembroke, a spokeswoman for the City of Everett, said the 60-year-old firefighter and paramedic has been with the department since 1991.
