Statewide DUI emphasis patrols under way

The (Aberdeen) Daily World

Extra DUI patrols began statewide  Wednesday and continue through Jan. 1 as a way to make the roads safer during the holiday season, according to the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.

The patrols are part of “Target Zero,” a Washington state strategic highway-safety plan, the goal of which is to completely eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2030.
