Truck driver ejected in crash not seriously hurt

The Washington State Patrol said that a man who was ejected from his truck on Interstate 5 in Lynnwood on Thursday suffered only minor injuries.

Trooper Mark Francis said troopers were called to a rollover accident in which a man was reportedly ejected from a box truck when it was struck by a car that had made “an unsafe lane change.”

“Typically when people get ejected, you’re talking about serious or life-threatening injuries,” Francis said.

The incident is under investigation.

The accident, reported around 1:42 p.m. near the Swamp Creek interchange, blocked the left lane and the HOV lane, according to the State Patrol.
