Truck spills dog food in I-5 ditch at Fife

The Associated Press

FIFE — The Washington State Patrol says a semi-truck carrying a load of dog food ran off Interstate 5 at Fife, overturned and spilled its load in a ditch.

The accident happened around midnight Tuesday but the cleanup restricted northbound lanes into the Wednesday morning rush hour.

Trooper Guy Gill says the driver was sore but not injured.

KIRO reports the driver lost control when he dozed off.
