Man, woman reportedly slashed with box-cutter near Bothell

A man and woman have been critically injured in a what is believed to be a domestic-violence incident near Bothell, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The two, believed to be in their 40s, were found in a home in the 2100 block of Maltby Road following a 911 call, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton. Both are being taken to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.

“It is unconfirmed how the injuries were sustained, but it was a reported that the male had a box cutter,” Ireton wrote in a news release. “The relationship between the male and female is unknown at this time.”

The two had cuts to their necks, according to Times news partner KING-TV.
